ABOUT US
KJ Peterson Consulting is a women-owned small business dedicated to environmental stewardship. Since 2012, KJPC has provided project coordination, strategic planning, and meeting facilitation services primarily to clients who care for public lands and who share our passionate commitment to restore degraded ecosystems. We work with teams of land managers, scientists, and engineers, whose mission is to slow, halt, or reverse the loss of biodiversity on a landscape scale.
We acknowledge that an urgent, global ecological crisis exists, of which climate change and massive biodiversity loss are just a part, and which represents an existential threat to the future of humankind. Our mission, using reliable and established collaborative processes, is to address this crisis on a local, landscape scale, as we deliver solutions that drive positive, sustainable change. Specifically, we assist our clients in planning and implementing conservation strategies focused on wildfire restoration and ecosystem resilience.
Through project coordination, strategic planning, and meeting facilitation, KJPC creates the organizational environment necessary for land managers, conservation funders, scientists, and implementation partners to make the changes they desire; to articulate their objectives; to identify barriers; to develop action plans that address the barriers and achieve the objectives; and to communicate progress to stakeholders throughout the entirety of the projects. The company offers both virtual and onsite consulting services.
KJPC is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), a California Transportation (CalTrans) certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and a California Public Utilities Commission Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) - all of which qualify us for certain set-aside contracts.
